Burleigh County Polling Sites Experienced 20-Minute Delay Posted on 11/8/2022
Eight of the 18 polling stations experienced a 20-minute delay this morning due to computer check-in issues. The poll pads are updated regularly to capture early and mail-in ballots. An update affected the configuration of poll pads and was resolved in 20 minutes-which can seem like an eternity on Election Day morning.
What is the computer check-in process? •Assists election workers to ensure the voter is in the right location and receives the appropriate ballot. •Ensures the voter hasn't already voted.
The computer check-in process does not affect the way ballots are cast, counted, and tabulated.
Election workers receive extensive training and are ready to assist you. All precincts close at 7 PM.
