Heavy rains are producing standing water in some areas. Burleigh County is selling larvacide briquettes to help residents resolve mosquito issues on their property. One briquette treats 100 square feet of shallow water with no current and lasts up to 150 days-the entire mosquito season!
Residents can purchase the briquettes for $3 each at the following location:
Burleigh County Extension Office 3715 East Bismarck Expressway Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
An instructional sheet will also be given to each resident which details the ingredients, direction for use, and how to apply. No applicator's license is required to purchase the briquettes, and the only personal protective equipment needed is rubber gloves.
