Like all public records, all property tax information is available to any individual or company that wishes to review it.

Is there a discount for early payment of taxes?
Yes, if you pay your tax bill in full by February 15 you will receive a 5 percent discount. The discount is calculated on your consolidated tax only.

When are real estate tax payments due?
Due dates for taxes in Burleigh County are as follows: Taxes for the 1st installment are due March 1 and are considered late on March 2; taxes for the 2nd installment are due October 15 and are considered late on October 16.

If you mail your payment on time, but the Post Office fails to postmark it by those dates, it will be considered a late payment.

When are mobile home tax payments due?
Due dates for taxes in Burleigh County are as follows: Taxes for the 1st installment are due March 1 and are considered late on March 2; taxes for the 2nd installment are due July 1 and are considered late on July 2.

If you are paying via the Internet, you will receive a digital receipt once your credit or debit card charge has been authorized and your payment is completed. We recommend that you print the digital receipt for your records as proof of payment.

To contact your card company regarding a payment, refer to the telephone number printed on the back of your payment card.

How do I make a payment?
You can make a payment online at www.burleighco.com, through our automated Pay by Phone service, at 1-800-272-9829 jurisdiction code 4434, or by mailing a check/money order/cashier's check to Burleigh County Auditor 221 N 5th St Bismarck ND 58501.

There will be a convenience fee of 2.5% and $.25 per transaction for credit cards. A $3.00 fee for E-Checks less than or equal to $10,000.00 and a $15.00 fee for greater than $10,000.00.

I received a message that my credit or debit card company did not authorize my payment. Who should I contact?
If your credit or debit card company does not authorize your payment, you should contact your credit or debit card issuer directly using the number on the back of your card.

I submitted my payment information, but I did not receive a confirmation number, did my payment go through?
If you did not receive a confirmation number, please call customer service at 1-800-487-4567, option 5.

What credit or debit cards can I use?
We accept credit card payments online or by using 1-800-272-9829 number ONLY. The cards that are accepted will be identified when you make your payment. Credit/Debit cards are NOT accepted over the counter in our office.

What do I do with the confirmation number I receive?
